We are pleased to invite you to participate in Preparatory Event 2009 to be held in Tokyo, Japan, 13 March to 23 March 2009, featuring Full Dome & Stereoscopic Movies for the International Festival of Scientific Visualization,. The core programs of Preparatory Event 2009 take place at Science Museum, Tokyo and at National Astronomical Observatory, Mitaka. We hope they will give you a wonderful experience of exploring new worlds of scientific visualization.

Call for Paper:

The symposium brings together researcher and practitioner in the area of theory, design and popularization of scientific visualization for fulldome & stereoscopic movies. The symposium includes regular technical papers and invited one. We call for papers are concerned with
  • immersive visualization technology
  • scientific visualization its technology and philosophy
  • images for fulldome theater
  • stereoscopic movies for scientific visualization
to both oral and poster.
For application of oral and poster presentation, please send the title of presentation, presenterfs name and abstract which consists less than 200 words.
All accepted papers of both poster and oral sessions will be published as a special issue of the Journal combined with invited papers.
When your presentation has been accepted, please send us camera-ready paper. See a sample draft. Sample Draft[PDF]
